“State of the Hill” Event Discusses Community Stance on Diversity Equity and Inclusion

  By Rachel Galatis    Summit staff writer   The Student Government and Residence Hall Associations co-hosted the annual “State of the Hill” event on Monday morning  to talk with the senior leadership and administration about the  community   stance on topics  ranging from diversity to the coronavirus to hiring faculty and staff of color.     The meeting  was open to the entire school community  over Zoom  but  the RH A,  SGA e- board  members  and  the presenters attended in person.    Abe Medeiros, the student body president, sent out a survey  to the   student body  in preparation for the event   which asked  questions  t o  help determine the most prominent issues  on campus.    The event opened with   a greeting from Medeiros , who explained that the event was  set up to allow “collaboration” and “participation” from both th...
